The Niagara New Vintage Festival is a wonderful way to experience the bounty growing in your own backyard. Internationally acclaimed wines, fresh produce, and a culinary experience unique to Ontario. Embrace a demonstration of what it means to buy local and realize all that Niagara has to offer. This year the New Vintage festival encourages you to buy local – not only supporting the efforts of local wineries, grape growers, and farmers, but also helping to reduce your carbon footprint when you consume locally produced food and wine!
2008 Highlights:
Niagara New Vintage Discovery Pass, June 14, 15, 21 and 22nd Your passport to 2 weekends of wine and culinary adventures at local wineries across Niagara. Award winning wineries will be showcasing their newest offering and invite you to toast the summer of 2008 with the first vintages from 2007. Several wineries will also be featuring rare blends, back vintages, special tastings, Icewines and more. If you are a fan of the vine, these are the weekends to visit wine country.
Discovery Pass holders can enjoy 6 experiences per passport at participating wineries. Each passport allows you to pick you favourite wine experiences and food and wine experiences at our partner wineries over the 2 weekends of the festival.
Additional Information:
• Winery Experience Times: Wineries will open their doors to passport holders June 14, 15, 21 and 22 from 100:00 to 5:00pm each listed day.
• Passports: Each Passport allows the bearer 6 winery experiences, redeemable at each participating winery.
• Price: Passports are sold for $30.00 each plus applicable taxes. Must be 19 years or older.

New Vintage Grille

Food Network Canada presents an unforgettable evening celebrating Niagara’s wine and culinary bounty. The finest local ingredients are blended by award-winning regional chefs into delectable culinary offerings paired with the finest in Niagara wines. The evening’s celebrations feature a live cooking demonstration with Food Network celebrity chef Anna Olson, host of the new show ‘Fresh’, live jazz entertainment at the centre stage and so much more. Come and discover the fabulous food and wine offerings grown in your backyard.
The highlight of New Vintage takes place on Saturday June 21st at the Niagara Culinary Institute, presented in part by TD Bank. Kick off summer with the best and brightest of the New Vintage, as over 2 dozen wineries celebrate Summer Solstice with the unveiling of the first wines from the 2007 vintage. Event Highlights Include:
• A live cooking demonstration and sampling with Food Network Celebrity Chef Anna Olson, host of Food Network’s ‘Sugar’ and new show ‘Fresh’
• Delectable offerings from nine chefs ranked at the top culinary artists in the Niagara region.
• Culinary partners include Anna Olson, Wellington Court Café, White Oaks Conference Resort and Spa, Zee’s Restaurant, Treadwell’s Farm to Table Cuisine, Crivelli, Niagara Culinary Institute, the Dairy Farmers of Canada, and On the Green.
• Live Jazz and soul performances as the Grill Centre Stage
• A fantastic Silent Auction featuring all that is local
